Spotlight on... Prostate Cancer UK's research webinar series
‘Spotlight on...’ is our series of research webinars designed to offer you bitesize opportunities to expand your knowledge on specific areas of prostate cancer research.
In each 60-minute session you’ll hear from experts in the field and have the chance to ask questions, share ideas and network. We’ll run a series of weekly seminars focussed on a specific theme. The theme of this series is prostate cancer diagnosis and the tools being developed to more accurately diagnose prostate cancer.

Our Summer 2022 series
Spotlight on...genetics
In the first webinar of the series we will be joined by, Professor Dan Brewer from University of East Anglia and Dr Jana McHugh from Institute of Cancer Research to discuss how genetics can be used to monitor prostate cancer risk and diagnose prostate cancer early.

Spotlight on...sugars
This week we’ll shine the Spotlight on...sugars.. We will be joined by Dr Jenny Munkley from University of Newcastle and Professor Paula Mendes from University of Birmingham. In this session we’ll discuss how sugars can be used to more accurately diagnose prostate cancer.

Spotlight on...blood biomarkers
In this webinar, we are joined by Professor Yong-Jie Lu from Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London and Dr Elaine Kilgour from Cancer Research UK, Manchester Institute as they discuss the use of blood biomarkers, specifically circulating tumour cells in diagnosing prostate cancer.

Spotlight on...liquid biomarkers
In our penultimate webinar of this series, we will be joined by Dr Jason Webber from Swansea University and Dr Jeremy Clark from University of East Anglia as they discuss the use of liquid biomarkers as diagnostic tools.

Spotlight on...imaging
In our final webinar of the series we will be joined by Dr Nina Tunariu from the Royal Marsden and Professor Ferdia Gallagher from the University of Cambridge to discuss developments in imaging that can improve prostate cancer diagnosis.
